The Menopause is a huge transition in women’s lives. Some women can experience really challenging symptoms, which can have a huge impact on their quality of life. Sarah will talk about the impact the menopause has on our muscular skeletal system and what we can do to help minimize the effects.

As we approach the change this can also make a huge difference to how we feel. The menopause can be an opportunity to slow down and take better care of ourselves.

Our lifestyle choices can really impact our hormone function. Making conscious choices to manage or reduce stress, and eating a healthy diet will really help to balance your hormones and manage your symptoms.

Harriet specialises in supporting women in this area, and in this interactive session she will explain the impact of stress and food, and she will share simple tips and techniques to help you to make choices that will support you during this time.

Lexi will serve a carefully curated lunch, showcasing nutritious ingredients that we can use to help alleviate menopause symptoms, in a delicious way!

Together we will empower you to create your own tiny habits that you can incorporate immediately that will have a huge impact on your health and well-being.

Through group discussion, a communal meal (with recipes to take away) and exercise we will help you turn healthy inspiration into action!

There are only 16 places available so please book early to avoid disappointment.

The day will start with a seminar with Sarah Connors on the effects the menopause has on our muscular-skeletal system followed by Pilates for the menopause with Lorraine. We then have our interactive lunch, followed by a short 3-4 mile walk, and then back to the hall for a 30 min stretch and mobility class.

Meet Sarah Connors

I am so lucky to be able to work in collaboration with Sarah and have enjoyed working with many of her clients to assist in their rehab and recovery back from injury.

A Physiotherapist for more than 30 years, Sarah has spent most of that time working for and alongside UK athletics, including 2 Olympic Games and more recently as head of the UK medical team at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. The athletes she treats consider her to be a world class Physio!

Sarah now treats athletes and runners of all abilities and founded a local running club which now has over 250 members. She loves getting people moving and her skills and knowledge are so supportive to the work of Pilates as our main aim is to improve the quality, control, and efficiency of movement. Sarah has also worked with Asics as part of their Pro team for over 10 years, guest lectured at Birmingham University and written a book called Running Well.

Meet Alexis Sinclair

Hey, I’m Lexi, and I love food!

I’m a chef and nutritional therapist with over 15 years’ experience in the catering and wellness industries.

Lexi’s Loving Spoonful is my way of sharing the health, happiness and love that can be found in food, with as many people as I can.

I cook using only the best quality ingredients I can find, developing menus based around the seasons.

My passion is to show you how really healthy food can be truly delicious and look amazing too, and to empower you to be able to enjoy this way of eating all the time.

My life changed when I started looking at health holistically; when I acknowledged that every person must be considered on their very personal individual level, understanding them as a whole, not simply the sum of what they eat.

Good health is within every one of us, when we are able to restore our natural balance. This is achieved through addressing our nutrition, alongside other aspects of wellbeing such as mindfulness, movement, rest, and connection.

My aim is to provide you with an understanding about your nutrition that will unlock food’s extraordinary benefits, whilst supporting you to make wider long term, positive life choices that will help you feel and look your best, always.
